Shortlisted Design studio for RIBA London Awards, Jonathan Tuckey Design is one of the UK’s leading advocates for remodeling and radically transforming old building for modern uses. This family home contains workshops and a central courtyard built inside an old brickyard.

The choice of material arose from robust character of the adjacent brick buildings and the informal qualities of the ‘back yard’ site. Lined in translucent polycarbonate panels the courtyard become the primary space around which the life of the house revolves – and outdoor room to which all the main inter spaces are connected.
